A strong demand for new housing in Queensland’s glorious south-east is propelling a lot of action in the residential development space.

Each project offers something unique, whether it be an infinity edge pool, state-of-the-art kitchens or enviable water views. Here’s a look at what’s on the market currently.

Lasail

Living by the water has got to be the ultimate dream when it comes to a tranquil lifestyle. At Lasail, an apartment complex of 73 residences, that dream will become reality.

The Newport development sits on the waterways of the Redcliffe Peninsula giving residents the opportunity to secure their own freehold marina berth. Days spent fishing or sailing Moreton Bay are likely to become regular weekend activities. Or even weekday adventures — Lasail is aimed at downsizers on the verge of, or already in, retirement.

It’s an idyllic coastal lifestyle waiting to happen, said Brett Robinson, chief executive of developer Traders In Purple.

“It’s very rare to be able to offer brand new luxury apartments with their own marina berth in such a sought-after location,” he said.

“The Redcliffe Peninsula is one of the most idyllic spots in Australia, so these unique waterfront apartments in this beautiful area are very special.”

Designed by architects Rothelowman, Lasail includes resort-style amenities including a swimming pool, poolside lawns and landscaping, garden lounges and courtyards and barbecue facilities and seating for entertaining.

The buildings have been designed to frame the water views outlooks to the Sunshine Coast hinterland and Moreton Bay.

Prices for a two-bedroom waterfront apartment start at $650,000 and three-bedroom waterfront apartments from $820,000. Construction is forecast to begin in June this year.

Lasail can be found at 1 Aqua Street, Newport, Queensland.
